This page gives you an overview of the iPhone comic database app.




list of publishers
The list of publishers can be reached by going to the catalog section of iCdb. It is the top view and shows the names of the publishers of comic series you downloaded so far. Each time you download another comic series to add to your comic collection this list will be extended appropriatly.



list of series
This list shows the name, publisher and the year of publication of the first issue for each comic series in your comic collection. You can access this list of series by tapping "All Publishers" in the list of publishers or by tapping the entry of a specific publisher.



list of issues with number of copies in collection
From the list of series choose a specific comic series and you'll see a list of issues of that series. For each issue you see the issue number, date of publication and the title of the first story in that issue. The numbers to the left of each issue indicates how many copies you own.



issue details view
The issue detail view shows the bibliographic detail for a comic issue you selected from the list of issues. For the cover, each story and other sections of the issue you'll see information like number of pages, names of the artics (inks, script, pencils, ...) and a lot more.



cover view
This view shows the comic cover in fullscreen mode. You can access this view by tapping the cover thumbnail in the issue detail view.



view for searching and downloading comic series
Here you can see the main view for searching and downloading comic series. In this example all comic series with "dreaming" in the title have been listed and grouped by year.



search assistent (results)
For a list of search terms you can let iCdb tell you which combinations of these words give back the most results. The query terms used for the example shown here were "amazing spider-man volume 2". For each subquery you can see the number of series found matching the given search terms.



about view with rss-feed reader
From this view you can access the configurable rss-feed reader and some information about the application and the status of the comic database.
