Frequently asked questions
I'm missing a feature. Could you add it?
Yes, certainly. If there is a feature, that you would like to see implemented in iCdb send us an email. Please describe the missing feature and we will consider it for our next updates.
Where does all the comic data come from?
We use a database that has been courteously provided by the GCD (Grand Comics Database) project. This is a project of volunteers who try to document and index all comics.
Why are some comics more detailed than others?
The GCD Project relies on the help of volounteers to enter the bibliographic data. These volounteers enter the data of comics they own or otherwise have access to in their spare time. That is one of the reasons why some more popular comic series like Batman (DC, 1940) are fully indexed while other like Yoko Tsuno (Carlson Comics, 1982) are only partially indexed.
How can I support the GCD Project?
You can support the GCD Project basically in two ways: by donation and by indexing comics. If you would like to donate money to keep their infrastructure running go to the GCD's homepage. There is a Donate-button for that purpose. If you would rather support them by indexing comics and making the database more complete follow the instruction on how to become an indexer.
